Travel Costs
Travel costs are calculated based on the distance from the Isle of Wight to the school location.
- Mileage: Typically calculated at £0.55 per mile
- Estimated Ferry Return Travel Cost: £120–£160.
Final travel costs will be confirmed at the time of booking and may vary depending on the location, ferry fares and mileage.
Workshop Format
Schools can book up to four workshops in a single day, with each workshop lasting approximately 50 minutes.
To ensure we can provide a fully immersive experience, the same historical topic is delivered throughout the entire day. We do not offer multiple different historical workshops on the same day, as each workshop requires a substantial amount of props, equipment, historical artefacts and costuming to create the complete experience.
Each workshop is designed for up to 30 children. A key part of the experience is allowing pupils to become part of the story themselves. For each workshop, we can provide up to 30 individual costumes, enabling children to dress as historical characters and actively participate in bringing the chosen period to life.
This format allows us to create a consistent, engaging and immersive historical experience for every class throughout the school day.
